Conveyor Belt Sushi

Have you ever heard of those?

It's the sushi restaurants where little plates of sushi go around the whole place on a conveyor belt, hence the name. I think somewhere in the world, there's an outdoor one.

I went to one recently, and it was pretty good. It was a small store, so the sushi wouldn't go dry and stale before it even reached your table.

A suggestion would be to go at dinnertime, as there are more people. It means that the food on the conveyor belt is being taken quicker, and the sushi is fresher.

Not many conveyor belt sushi places offer AYCE (All You Can Eat). Instead, at most places, you pay for each dish (and a dish usually has 2-4 pieces). Depending on the colour of the dish, the prices differ.

It is an enjoyable experience.

Ramen and Things

I ate Japanese ramen the other day.
And it wasn't those instant noodle packages that some restaurants serve shamelessly.
It was some legitimate stuff.
The taste was good, and there was a good amount...it will not make you too full, but you will not walk away hungry.

What s short blog post

That Craving

Those moments when you

Want food so much

But you are not hungry.

You just want to eat something...

It is in these moments that your discipline is truly tested.

I have terrible discipline.

Still With the Milk Tea

I still like that milk tea.

Oh, that milk tea.

One of these days, I will also try their coffee.

Usually, I do not drink much coffee because of the caffeine content...

Milk Tea Comeback

It has been such a long time since I last posted. I look back at my posts, and I realize...

There was a post that I never posted...( ꒪Д꒪)ノ

What has been going on these days?

How was my life?

Now that summer is over, fall is coming, and the good old days od strolling the streets with only a t-shirt on is now over.

My life hasn't changed much, still living that normal life.

I did get hooked on different things, though.

For example: Japanese emoticons.

They are the best things EVER, I am telling you. Western emoticons are so limited, and there are so many special characters in Japan. ( ´∀`)

My favourite one is this: (╯°□°)╯︵ ┻━┻  Flip the table!

No, my life hasn't got to the point where I have forgotten about the joy of food.

Remember back when I was really into milk tea?

Back then, I was really into homemade milk tea. Now, I am into this:

The one I drink, the packaging is a bit different, but it is the same stuff. I took a big risk when I was about to drink this thing.

What is it's bitter? What if there is too much sugar?

When it comes to milk tea, I am VERY picky. Everything has to be PERFECT.

And then I tried this.

It was PERFECT.  (well, maybe there was a bit too much sugar...)

I highly suggest this brand of milk tea. I have yet to try their coffee, but it shouldn't be bad.

And that is the end to this post. Have a wonderful day.

Sorry for the highlights...

Many kinds of meat

Yesterday, I tried sampling some of those huge sausages. There were also kangaroo and llama meat.

It was interesting because the kangaroo was Canadian...

With all the spices and salt in the sausages, I cannot taste the difference

Too much food in the summer~~ ._.

I've been eating so much recently.

And I keep telling myself to blog about it.

But I always forget and get lost in the happy, blissful moment.

The past two weeks has been awesome - foodwise.

Went to a sushi buffet. I am still craving it though.

Cantonese style breakfast on multiple occasions.

Fast food

Chinese food

Chinese duffet

Western breakfast, like a huge waffle or omlette

Taiyaki

Red bean popsicles

Seaweed snack

Arizona green tea with ginseng and honey

Arizona iced lemon tea

Vitasoy lemon tea

Milkis

Milk candy

Calbee chips (squid and lobster)

Strawberry chewy candy

Pretz, tomato flavored (I did not taste any tomato...)

Chinese steamed buns

Crab (the first time I ate it, I got really fat crabs, so there was a lot of flesh. The second time, I got very skinny crabs, and was slightly dissapointed)

Dumplings

Chicken soup (the chinese kind with the wintermelon)

Instant noodles.

...and much more. Unfortunately, I cannot remember everything...

Beautiful.

I keep forgetting

Everyday, I go home, and I say,

I will blog today.

But I never do.

So allow me to tell you about all the wonderful food experiences I have had.

Calbee chips.
It comes in a good size, not too small, and not too large.
And they come in interesting flavors...
Squid
Pizza
Cooked lobster
Curry
etc.

Froyo
Not the self-serve store ones
I'm talking about the prepackaged ones.
The self-serve ones are also worth eating, though
Strawberry
Peach

Btw, I also ate from a froyo store.
Some flavors I have tried
Tart
Honey tart
Lemon ginger
Can't remember

Overall, everything was good.

And plus we went to an asian supermarket and bought asian food.

And past Saturday was the dragonboat festival
So we bought rice dumplings.

We also made some ourselves.

So many food experiences!

And at the end, all I can say is...

:D

Dim sum and sprite

Dim sum for breakfast.

Best. Thing. Ever.

And the place that I went to had a good reputation

so their food was very good.

Just to name a few:

  • Angus beef and mushroom in a flaky pastry
  • corn and pumpkin congee (and it had a meat flavor :o )
  • flour roll
  • chicken feet in sweet sauce (I know this sounds unpleasing, but it is actually very good. In Chinese, I believe it is called "phoenix claws")
  • ribs in honey and maggie sauce
  • sticky rice
  • pudding
  • milk tart with bird nest (No, it is not an actual bird's nest)
  • fried taro
  • fried radish
  • Siu Mai
  • mango sticky rice
  • tripe (You can search up the meaning of tripe. If I tell you, I might seem immediately unpleasing. Tripe sounds good)
  • Steamed Lamb
That is all I can think of right now.

It was awesome.

I went there right when the place opened.

When I left, I saw people lining up outside

Waiting for an empty table

Then after, I had sprite.

I don't mean immediately after, I mean like, later on during the day.

I felt pretty spoiled, going into a supermarket just to satisfy my cravings.

When you can think about academic language and academic language only.

This will probably be the only post with no mention of food. *le gasp*

Anti-Radiation Stickers

Do they actually absorb radiation? I know that they are gold-plated, but how much radiation does it actually absorb?

Other People's Blogs

They all have very long and meaningful posts

Seeing them inspired me to write more.

So I will attempt to write more, but really I'm just too tired.

Today had been a day of rain-sun-rain-heavy rain-sun-rain

It was completely unpredictable, and completely random.

I mean, random for me, I bet that scientists know why this is happening.

I have not been posting

Bliss is food during your hunger.

Food For the Win.

So I ate Chinese Cuisine, and it tasted good. It left be speechless.

...
...
...

I also ate Korean food the other day, and I must say that Korean glass noodles are the best. They are impossible to chew, but it is worth the while.

Awkwardly trying to chew glass noodles...

And at another table, someone got gobi (i think it is called) and it was SIZZLING. BUBBLING. I was thinking to myself, why did I not get that?

Famine-ing

So I'm participating in a fundrasing program where we give up food for 30 hours to raise awareness and money for workd hunger.

If you have read any of my other posts, you would know that I like food very much.

It started today at 12.30, right after my lunch.

Surprisingly, I'm not hungry yet...

I just feel...empty.

I'm already daydreaming about what I will eat tomorrow atg 6,30pm.

Probably noodle with black bean sauce.

Or I can go fast-food and get mcdonalds.

I kinda wanna try the double fillet-o-fish.

Binggrae and other things

Here I am, trying to post everyday.

I set goals, but I can not achieve them...

So I sent to a Japanese Sushi Buffet, and they had

Wait for it...

Green Tea Ice Cream!

Just savor the flavor, just savor it.

The next day I went to a Korean Supermarket, and they had an adjacent food court.

So I got noodles with some black sauce + dumplings.

I know I does not sound appealing, but it was very good.

Then I got ice cream. Like some Binggrae ice cream sandwich.

It has a layer of red bean, and vanilla ice cream. Not too sweet, not too cold.

Perfect.

Plus, Binggrae banana milk

oh yea :)

Melona, mango, green tea

So here my and my friends, trying to search up pictures of green tea ice cream.

And we stumbled upon a site where a Korean person taught us how to make green tea ice cream.

It seemed quite easy to make, but it looked like it was very hard at the end.

Oh, how I want green tea ice cream...

So after we were done looking at pictures of green tea ice cream, we started to search for mango ice cream.

^that's Haagen Dazs mango ice cream too.

Were we getting hungry.

Then we started conversing about red bean popsicles. Oh, I can taste it in my mouth~

I'll let you an a secret -- I'm oriental. And I like these foods. *you dont say?

Later on in the day, I visited another of my friend. She offered me Melona ice cream/popsicle, and if i remember correctly, it was mango flavoured.

I felt like a dream come true.

I ate the orange one, by the way.

bubble tea time

so i was at a outreach program at church

and they had bubble tea.

of course you had to preorder, but it was great.

everyone was so excited when they were told the they were getting bubble tea.

i was excited too. i got mango, but soon, the tea tasted like super-sugar or something

and the tapioca tasted like plastic

when i get milk tea from tea shops, i usually get ____ milk green tea...without the tapioca

and believe me, it tastes so much better
