Ramen and Things

I ate Japanese ramen the other day.
And it wasn't those instant noodle packages that some restaurants serve shamelessly.
It was some legitimate stuff.
The taste was good, and there was a good amount...it will not make you too full, but you will not walk away hungry.

What s short blog post

That Craving

Those moments when you

Want food so much

But you are not hungry.

You just want to eat something...

It is in these moments that your discipline is truly tested.

I have terrible discipline.

Still With the Milk Tea

I still like that milk tea.

Oh, that milk tea.

One of these days, I will also try their coffee.

Usually, I do not drink much coffee because of the caffeine content...

Milk Tea Comeback

It has been such a long time since I last posted. I look back at my posts, and I realize...

There was a post that I never posted...( ꒪Д꒪)ノ

What has been going on these days?

How was my life?

Now that summer is over, fall is coming, and the good old days od strolling the streets with only a t-shirt on is now over.

My life hasn't changed much, still living that normal life.

I did get hooked on different things, though.

For example: Japanese emoticons.

They are the best things EVER, I am telling you. Western emoticons are so limited, and there are so many special characters in Japan. ( ´∀`)

My favourite one is this: (╯°□°)╯︵ ┻━┻  Flip the table!

No, my life hasn't got to the point where I have forgotten about the joy of food.

Remember back when I was really into milk tea?

Back then, I was really into homemade milk tea. Now, I am into this:

The one I drink, the packaging is a bit different, but it is the same stuff. I took a big risk when I was about to drink this thing.

What is it's bitter? What if there is too much sugar?

When it comes to milk tea, I am VERY picky. Everything has to be PERFECT.

And then I tried this.

It was PERFECT.  (well, maybe there was a bit too much sugar...)

I highly suggest this brand of milk tea. I have yet to try their coffee, but it shouldn't be bad.

And that is the end to this post. Have a wonderful day.

Sorry for the highlights...

Many kinds of meat

Yesterday, I tried sampling some of those huge sausages. There were also kangaroo and llama meat.

It was interesting because the kangaroo was Canadian...

With all the spices and salt in the sausages, I cannot taste the difference

Too much food in the summer~~ ._.

I've been eating so much recently.

And I keep telling myself to blog about it.

But I always forget and get lost in the happy, blissful moment.

The past two weeks has been awesome - foodwise.

Went to a sushi buffet. I am still craving it though.

Cantonese style breakfast on multiple occasions.

Fast food

Chinese food

Chinese duffet

Western breakfast, like a huge waffle or omlette

Taiyaki

Red bean popsicles

Seaweed snack

Arizona green tea with ginseng and honey

Arizona iced lemon tea

Vitasoy lemon tea

Milkis

Milk candy

Calbee chips (squid and lobster)

Strawberry chewy candy

Pretz, tomato flavored (I did not taste any tomato...)

Chinese steamed buns

Crab (the first time I ate it, I got really fat crabs, so there was a lot of flesh. The second time, I got very skinny crabs, and was slightly dissapointed)

Dumplings

Chicken soup (the chinese kind with the wintermelon)

Instant noodles.

...and much more. Unfortunately, I cannot remember everything...

Beautiful.

I keep forgetting

Everyday, I go home, and I say,

I will blog today.

But I never do.

So allow me to tell you about all the wonderful food experiences I have had.

Calbee chips.
It comes in a good size, not too small, and not too large.
And they come in interesting flavors...
Squid
Pizza
Cooked lobster
Curry
etc.

Froyo
Not the self-serve store ones
I'm talking about the prepackaged ones.
The self-serve ones are also worth eating, though
Strawberry
Peach

Btw, I also ate from a froyo store.
Some flavors I have tried
Tart
Honey tart
Lemon ginger
Can't remember

Overall, everything was good.

And plus we went to an asian supermarket and bought asian food.

And past Saturday was the dragonboat festival
So we bought rice dumplings.

We also made some ourselves.

So many food experiences!

And at the end, all I can say is...

:D

Dim sum and sprite

Dim sum for breakfast.

Best. Thing. Ever.

And the place that I went to had a good reputation

so their food was very good.

Just to name a few:

  • Angus beef and mushroom in a flaky pastry
  • corn and pumpkin congee (and it had a meat flavor :o )
  • flour roll
  • chicken feet in sweet sauce (I know this sounds unpleasing, but it is actually very good. In Chinese, I believe it is called "phoenix claws")
  • ribs in honey and maggie sauce
  • sticky rice
  • pudding
  • milk tart with bird nest (No, it is not an actual bird's nest)
  • fried taro
  • fried radish
  • Siu Mai
  • mango sticky rice
  • tripe (You can search up the meaning of tripe. If I tell you, I might seem immediately unpleasing. Tripe sounds good)
  • Steamed Lamb
That is all I can think of right now.

It was awesome.

I went there right when the place opened.

When I left, I saw people lining up outside

Waiting for an empty table

Then after, I had sprite.

I don't mean immediately after, I mean like, later on during the day.

I felt pretty spoiled, going into a supermarket just to satisfy my cravings.

Tuesday 12 June 2012

When you can think about academic language and academic language only.

This will probably be the only post with no mention of food. *le gasp*

Anti-Radiation Stickers

Do they actually absorb radiation? I know that they are gold-plated, but how much radiation does it actually absorb?

Other People's Blogs

They all have very long and meaningful posts

Seeing them inspired me to write more.

So I will attempt to write more, but really I'm just too tired.

Today had been a day of rain-sun-rain-heavy rain-sun-rain

It was completely unpredictable, and completely random.

I mean, random for me, I bet that scientists know why this is happening.

Saturday 9 June 2012

I have not been posting

Bliss is food during your hunger.

Food For the Win.

So I ate Chinese Cuisine, and it tasted good. It left be speechless.

...
...
...

I also ate Korean food the other day, and I must say that Korean glass noodles are the best. They are impossible to chew, but it is worth the while.

Awkwardly trying to chew glass noodles...

And at another table, someone got gobi (i think it is called) and it was SIZZLING. BUBBLING. I was thinking to myself, why did I not get that?

Monday 4 June 2012

Pizza

Eating a 10" pizza will cause stomach discomfort.
Sigh...
The pizza had bread, tomato sauce, meat, cheese, meat, mushroom, and onions.

Yes.there was meat UNDER the cheese

Famine-ing 2

Just one hour left.

I actually got a lot of donations :D

Just one hour, and I'm off to eat

Thursday 17 May 2012

Famine-ing

So I'm participating in a fundrasing program where we give up food for 30 hours to raise awareness and money for workd hunger.

If you have read any of my other posts, you would know that I like food very much.

It started today at 12.30, right after my lunch.

Surprisingly, I'm not hungry yet...

I just feel...empty.

I'm already daydreaming about what I will eat tomorrow atg 6,30pm.

Probably noodle with black bean sauce.

Or I can go fast-food and get mcdonalds.

I kinda wanna try the double fillet-o-fish.

Tuesday 15 May 2012

Binggrae and other things

Here I am, trying to post everyday.

I set goals, but I can not achieve them...

So I sent to a Japanese Sushi Buffet, and they had

Wait for it...

Green Tea Ice Cream!

Just savor the flavor, just savor it.

The next day I went to a Korean Supermarket, and they had an adjacent food court.

So I got noodles with some black sauce + dumplings.

I know I does not sound appealing, but it was very good.

Then I got ice cream. Like some Binggrae ice cream sandwich.

It has a layer of red bean, and vanilla ice cream. Not too sweet, not too cold.

Perfect.

Plus, Binggrae banana milk

oh yea :)

Saturday 12 May 2012

Melona, mango, green tea

So here my and my friends, trying to search up pictures of green tea ice cream.

And we stumbled upon a site where a Korean person taught us how to make green tea ice cream.

It seemed quite easy to make, but it looked like it was very hard at the end.

Oh, how I want green tea ice cream...

So after we were done looking at pictures of green tea ice cream, we started to search for mango ice cream.

^that's Haagen Dazs mango ice cream too.

Were we getting hungry.

Then we started conversing about red bean popsicles. Oh, I can taste it in my mouth~

I'll let you an a secret -- I'm oriental. And I like these foods. *you dont say?

Later on in the day, I visited another of my friend. She offered me Melona ice cream/popsicle, and if i remember correctly, it was mango flavoured.

I felt like a dream come true.

I ate the orange one, by the way.

Tuesday 8 May 2012

le food

food is good.

period.

so i ate baked chips, salt and vinegar flavour.

the bag was poofed up, but there were like 10 chips inside...

deception?

but it tasted good, until the sourness got to me.

all dressed chips, for the win.

along with milk tea

Saturday 5 May 2012

bubble tea time

so i was at a outreach program at church

and they had bubble tea.

of course you had to preorder, but it was great.

everyone was so excited when they were told the they were getting bubble tea.

i was excited too. i got mango, but soon, the tea tasted like super-sugar or something

and the tapioca tasted like plastic

when i get milk tea from tea shops, i usually get ____ milk green tea...without the tapioca

and believe me, it tastes so much better

Milk Tea Fail

35 days without blogging.

My plan was to blog SOMETHING everyday.

failure...

I went to a meeting, and before the meeting, they offered us coffee or tea.

I got two little milk cups, sugar, cup, and teabag,

Yes, my friends. My milk tea.

Then they ran out of water before I could get any.

So I waited.

But then we had to get back to out seats.

So I sat through the whole meeting with random milk, teabag, and sugar with me.

Wednesday 28 March 2012

I never get tired of Orange Juice

Orange juice is the best, and no matter how much I drink, I will never get tired of it.

It is so refreshing, sweet, cold, fresh...

Also ate some butter cookies today, and they bring me back when I used to buy those things in big metal boxes...

I made myself instant noodles, but I didn't realize the soup base was spicy, so I poured in the whole thing, and I can't stand the spicyness.

So I had to rinse it with water, and I ate the bland noodles

It tasted so flavourless, I only ate half of it, and I refrigerated the other half.

Tuesday 27 March 2012

Nothing Special ...

I didn't eat much today,

just bought more tea to make milk tea with..

I was planning to buy a strawberry shortcake, but I didn't have the chance to.

Just for fun, I am currently reading the Taming of the Shrew, a Shakespearean play. The first two scenes are quite interesting.

Monday 26 March 2012

Peking Duck

Ate Peking duck today, and it taste great like always.

Favourite chinese dishes
  1. 鱼香茄子
  2. 北京烤鸭
  3. 咖喱
I love those Chinese dishes. Peking duck is pretty oily, so I can't eat much of it.

After the meal, I feel so tired.

Also ate fried rice and some crab meat soup (lo and behold, it is REAL CRAB MEAT)

Also ate some red bean soup and it taste delicious as always...

Sunday 25 March 2012

More milk tea, but it tastes bland...

Tried to make more milk tea, to make myself feel better, but it tasted really bland. Is it because I've had too much, or is it because I never actually use black tea?

In England, are there actually counts and butlers and whatnots in today's society?

Imagine a huge mansion in the outskirts of London, and there lives a young master who is served by a loyal butler and, guess what, they have to internet. I feel like Japanese mangakas are way to elaborate on that part of English society, and they elaborate way to much. Examples: Black Butler, Ladies vs. Butlers, Pandora Hearts, etc...

There are way too many things to ponder about, and there are way too many things to learn. I will never be able to comprehend them all.

Saturday 24 March 2012

rice

I forgot to post yesterday.
But that is ok.

More milk tea for me recently, which is good.

Other than that, i also have "sweet glutinous rice delight", which is sticky rice as a drink, and it tastes like red bean...
some sweet glutinous rice delight...

Wednesday 21 March 2012

twenty-two degrees Celsius

So hot today.

I go home, and there isn't ice-cream, or any cold food. There is hardly any breeze.

Eating leftovers from yesterday's curry, and it tastes pretty good, once you are used to it.

I should go learn some more languages, as they can come in useful.

Say, a comrade and a friend are different, yes?

Tuesday 20 March 2012

Tired

Curry for dinner, and it was so light. The curry I bought was liquid, and it was meant to be put directly on the rice, but instead I cooked it and make it tasteless. Still, it was good.

Another red bean popsicle for today.

Is alkahest a real word?

So tired, so so tired today. Continuous yawning the whole day.

If an interest group you attended invited you to a party at a pizza store for free, would you go, even if you heard that the chess there is so chewy that you can’t bite it?

New Blog

A heard that blogging is good for you, so here I am. It is the equivalent of a journal, is it not?

I feel monotone, therefore the font is very plain.

The past few days, I have been drinking my own milk tea make with orange pekoe, 10% cream, and a lot of white cane sugar. Delicious stuff.

I ate a red bean popsicle today, and it brings back memories.

Sigh…ten percent of my French mark was decided today…I wonder how I did. And tomorrow, there will be a bunch of teachers observing how we learn. Tomorrow should be interesting. Niners.

I actually can’t wait for the debate club social. It has been so informational and everything. I kind of wished that I had bought the yearbook, but then again, I wouldn’t even if they were selling it again.

Searching up Japanese honorifics, there are not that many, actually.

Finishing up my English Study Project, and I am 20 words short.

I still have to clean my clothes later.

Geez, it is only March, why is it so hot outside?
